Beginnings
Len Medlock, grew up in the Fenside area of Boston.
Schooling
Military Service
At the end of World War 2, Len served in the Navy.
Family
In April 1949 Len married Brenda. They had two children Thea and David.
Work life
Len worked as a engineer for different firms before Westinghouse in Chippenham before starting his own business with Geoff Hebron.
Business Man
Geoff and Len’s successfully aerospace business was sold to Sitec which was then acquired by Belcan in 2019.
His Trust
In 1986 Len Medlock set-up the Medlock Charitable Trust.
Philanthropy
Len’s trusts have made grants of over £26m for good causes in the Boston, Bath and Bristol areas.
LMVC
The Len Medlock Voluntary Centre was designed and built by the Boston Volunteer Centre Charity which was largely funded by the Medlock Charitable Trust.
The Future
Following Len’s passing, his son David is now a trustee of the Medlock Charitable Trust which continues to support charities and good causes in Boston.
